CyberAnatomy Tutorials
Dr. Donal Shanahan (Prosector, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne), of "Ask an Anatomist" fame, provides on this site a rich resource of tutorials and lectures on fundamental anatomical concepts. He also provides a quiz for students to help hone their knowledge, and a useful set of anatomy links.

Edinburgh Mouse Atlas and Gene Expression Database Project
The UK MRC Human Genetics Unit in Edinburgh is developing a digital atlas of mouse development and database to be a resource for spatially mapped data such as in situ gene expression and cell lineage. The project is in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy, University of Edinburgh. The gene expression database is being developed as part of the Mouse Gene Expression Information Resource (MGEIR) in collaboration with the Jackson Laboratory, USA. (This database was described in Davidson and Baldock, Nature Reviews Genetics 2:409-417, 2001.)
The Multidimensional Human Embryo
This site is a collaboration funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to produce and make available 3D image reference of the human embryo based on magnetic resonance imaging. The images and movies are intended to serve students, researchers, clinicians, and the general public interested in studying and teaching human development. As of June 2001, datasets of various Carnegie-stage embryo image can be downloaded.
