AAA Annual Meeting a Must
For Students, Postdocs, Junior Faculty

That's why AAA is continuing last year's event - Student Award Platform Sessions. Finalists for AAA's top student awards will present their work and be judged in two Saturday sessions: the Langman Graduate Student Award Presentations (3:30 - 5:00 PM, Room 122/125) and the Presley-Zeiss Postdoctoral Award Presentations (5:30 - 6:30 PM, Room 122/125). A between sessions reception gives students and postdocs a chance to meet prospective mentors and employers!

Here's a sampling of what else AAA has to offer young investigators at EB 2006:

•  Be sure to sign up for the 6th Annual Mentoring Program & Lunch: Opening Doors: Networking and Professional Visibility . The first 20 AAA Students to register are FREE! Registration fills up fast, so register today! (Sunday, April 2, 12:10-1:50 PM, San Francisco Marriott, Golden Gate Ballroom B1/B2) Register for the Mentoring Lunch

•  Selected students and postdocs will participate in a separate AAA Poster Session & Reception - a great opportunity for networking! (Monday, April 3, 7:00 - 8:00 PM, Convention Center, Room 121)

•  Everyone is welcome to attend the AAA Socializer - eat, drink, meet with colleagues, and make new connections! (Sunday, April 2, 6:30 - 7:30 PM, Convention Center, 3rd Floor Lobby)

•  AAA Awards Banquet - If you are an AAA Student Travel Award recipient, don't forget to pick up your complimentary banquet ticket before Tuesday in the AAA Staff Office, Convention Center Room 114.  If you are not a Student Travel Award recipient and would like to attend the banquet, tickets are on sale until March 10. (Tuesday, April 4, 7:00 - 11:00 PM, Argent Hote, Metropolitan Ballroom)

•  Education-Related Sessions at EB 2006

•  Career Development Sessions at EB 2006

•  Access to the Career Resources Center/Placement Service is FREE, including cover letter and resumé critique workshops, career development sessions, and on-site interview facilities.

•  And don't forget the Young Experimental Scientist (YES) Mixer -open to all who are still awake after 9:30 PM! (Monday, April 3, 9:30 - 11:30 PM, Argent Hotel, Metropolitan Ballroom I)
