Regular Membership
Join AAA today! Regular Membership in AAA is open to anyone who has a clearly demonstrated interest in the anatomical or related sciences based on professional or research activities. Benefits include:

  • Free Journal Subscription - more than 100 years of backfiles!: Choose between The Anatomical Record and Developmental Dynamics, and you will also receive access to over 100 years of AAA's journals' backfiles, special member subscription rates to other Wiley-Blackwell journals and free electronic access to AAA's newest journal Anatomical Sciences Education. Purchased separately this journal package would cost over $250.

Student/Postdoctoral-Fellow Members enjoy:

    Other Types of Memberships

    HAPS Affiliate Electronic Membership
    A discounted membership is available for members of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. Electronic-only HAPS affiliate membership with AAA is open to all current HAPS members, and include access to the website, educational resources and electronic communications. HAPS affiliate membership benefits do not include access to The Anatomical Record or Developmental Dynamics publications, awards eligibility, election ballots or committee appointments but does include electronic access to Anatomical Sciences Education, our education-focused journal.


    Early Career Membership
    Members who joined as Students or Postdocs are eligible for a reduced Early Career membership rate of $90 for either seven years, or until they reach the position of Associate Professor. Early Career members are eligible for all Regular member benefits.


    Emeritus Membership
    Members who have paid Regular membership dues for the last ten (10) years and have formally retired from their institution are eligible for emeritus status. The journal subscription cost for emeritus members is $35. All other Regular member benefits are included in the complimentary emeritus membership.


    Honorary Membership
    Non-members who have distinguished themselves in anatomical or related research or in supporting the mission of the association may be elected to Honorary Membership. Nominations presented by the Honorary Membership Committee must be unanimously approved by the Board of Directors and ratified by a three-fourths vote of members present in person or by proxy at the Annual Business Meeting.
