The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM), opening in Dothan, Ala., August 2013, seeks an experienced basic science educator in Anatomy to teach first-year medical students. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach in a cadaver-based clinically orientated Gross Anatomy and/or Neuroanatomy courses (lectures and labs). The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in human anatomy or a related field, prior teaching experience in a medical or biomedical anatomy program, and excellent communication skills. All positions require a PhD or equivalent. Faculty are expected to contribute to the development of scholarly programs in areas of their choosing.
