The University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix Department of Basic Medical Sciences invites applications for a part-time, 0.51 FTE, faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, based on experience, in the educator scholar track (non-tenure-eligible). The successful candidate will teach anatomy to medical, physician assistant, physical therapy, and graduate students and engage in academic service and community outreach activities. Individuals will be expected to establish a research program in the general area of neuroscience and would be able to increase their FTE by supporting their research effort using extramural support.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. (or equivalent) plus postdoctoral training, and a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching anatomy to medical and/or other healthcare students. In addition, applicants must demonstrate experience as an extramurally funded principal investigator. Preference will be given to applicants with a record of teaching excellence, outstanding scholarly accomplishments, and demonstrated experience in submitting grant proposals, supervising research staff, and working collaboratively.
