Ethical Policies

AAA has adopted or endorsed various guidelines and principles related to education, research, publishing, and the presentation of information at professional meetings.

In addition, AAA’s bylaws state that “Candidates for Regular Membership must be persons engaged in the teaching or investigation of anatomical or related sciences, with an advanced degree or equivalent experience.”  It is the position of AAA that any person whose primary professional relationship is with a body donation program unaffiliated with an appropriate academic institution may not meet these membership requirements.
