AAA's highest scientific honor recognizes unique and meritorious contributions to and achievements in anatomical sciences by a distinguished AAA member. The medal is provided by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.

The Scientific Achievement medal recipient presents a lecture at the AAA Annual Meeting in the year following the award and receives:

• A certificate
• A $1,500 honorarium
• Travel reimbursement (2 nights) to receive the medal at the AAA Banquet
