What is the venous drainage of the female breast?

 

Located around the areola there is a circular plexus of veins. They drain the adipose and glandular tissue and possess unnamed communicating branches within the network. These will eventually drain into the three primary veins in the region: axillary, intercostal and internal thoracic veins.
