The American Association of Anatomists (AAA), in cooperation with the American Association of Clinical Anatomists (AACA), is again conducting a survey with the continued goal of providing an accessible, updatable and accurate database regarding how courses in Gross Anatomy, Microscopic Anatomy, Neuroscience, and Embryology are being taught. This important information will assist anatomical science educators as they answer questions concerning how the anatomical sciences are being taught and design programs for the future.
The previous short survey has been modified and updated and it is important that all Course Directors for Gross Anatomy, Microscopic Anatomy, Neuroscience, and Embryology courses complete this new survey. Since a variety of approaches are being used to present the anatomical sciences, (e.g., individual courses, integrated curricula, or a combination of both), please attempt to determine the number of hours devoted to your specific discipline, even if it is not a separate course. This will help us obtain the most complete and useful data related to how information in the anatomical sciences is being presented.
To make this the most complete survey possible, please contact the other individuals at your institution that direct any of these courses to make sure they know about and complete this survey.
