International Travel Award

A needs-based travel award to support members, at all career stages, who are based at international institutions to attend and present at the Annual Meeting. 

Criteria and Eligibility

  • Must be a current member 
  • This award requires an abstract submission for the AAA Annual Meeting.  Click here for more information on abstract submission. 
  • Materials submitted by applicant: 
    • One (1) page letter of intent describing the anticipated presentation and professional development and networking opportunities available to the applicant
    • CV (NIH biosketch format preferred) not to exceed 5 pages
    • One (1) page statement of need describing how this travel award will be of benefit.
  • Reviewed by the Ambassador Committee  

Priority will be given to those in financial need and first-time attendees to Anatomy Connected.

Funding

5 awards will be funded for $2,000 Travel to AAA Annual Meeting (in the form of a reimbursement after the meeting); travel funds cannot be used in conjunction with another travel award or recognition award.
