Anatomy Education Research Institute (AERI)

Bloomington, Indiana July 11-14, 2022

What is AERI?

This intensive four-day conference will partner leaders in STEM and medical education research with mentees interested in improving their teaching and educational research skills. Participants will actively engage in evidence-based teaching pedagogies, assessments, and educational research/inquiry. In addition, AERI provides significant face-to-face time and opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and networking among participants and field leaders.

Who should attend?

AERI has been specifically designed for individuals who have very little or no experience with educational research, but who are deeply invested in moving in that direction.

AERI Application Update

To ensure a valuable experience for everyone, attendance is limited to 50 accepted participants. Past attendees may re-apply, but priority will be granted to new participants. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Application Deadline was April 15, 2022. Applications are now closed. 

Health & Safety Information

For the health and safety of our members and community, AERI 2022 is requiring all speakers and attendees be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO)

In light of the COVID-19 cancellation:

  • Applications for 2022 open up on December 1, 2021.
  • All AERI 2020 applicants who have already been accepted will receive a full refund of their registration fee and will be guaranteed a spot in AERI 2022.
  • All AERI 2020 applicants whose applications are still pending will need to reapply for AERI 2022.
