SCGDB/AAA Affiliation

The Society for Craniofacial Genetics and Developmental Biology (SCGDB) is an affiliate of the American Association for Anatomy (AAA). This mutually-beneficial partnership was created in 2019 and is effective in 2020.

To become an SCGDB member or to maintain SCGDB membership, individuals should join AAA using the SCGDB Affiliate option. SCGDB dues are just an additional $10 per year.

SCGDB membership provides the right to stand for office and vote in SCGDB elections, and eligibility for SCGDB Excellence in Craniofacial Research, Service, travel and other SCGDB sponsored awards.

Founded in 1975, SCGDB represents the professional interests of its members in the field of developmental biology and at the intersection of development, genetics, evolution, and disease. The Society is dedicated to advancing the knowledge, health care, and prevention of craniofacial disorders through education and research. While an affiliate of AAA, SCGDB maintains its own officers, annual meeting, website, and awards.
