Fellows Legacy Fund Donation Form

At the request of AAA Fellows, the AAA Board of Directors established the Fellows Legacy Fund in 2012 to enable Fellows to make a lasting gift to the society by sponsoring programs, events, and activities consistent with AAA’s mission.

Funding contributed to date will support the opening plenary focus session at AAA’s 125th Anniversary meeting in 2013 as the first AAA Fellows event.  This Fellows Symposium on Evolutionary & Developmental Biology, scheduled for Sunday, April 21, at EB 2013 in Boston, will feature the following presentations:

  • Cliff Tabin (Harvard Medical School) The Evolution and Development of Vertebrate Limb Morphology
  • Neil Shubin (Univ. of Chicago)
  • Nipam Patel (Univ. of California, Berkeley) The Evolution of Arthropod Appendages

Beyond using the Fellows Legacy Fund as support for a Fellows Symposium in 2013, longer-term goals are to raise sufficient funds to support named lectureships (perhaps named after your mentor), provide travel awards for course directors to attend the AAA Annual Meeting, support Meet the Professor sessions at the AAA, or other specific targeted initiatives that the Fellows Circle may want to promote in the future.

You are invited to contribute to the Fellows Legacy Fund to make a lasting gift to your association, which has contributed to so many of your successes over the years.  Your tax deductible contribution can be made here online or you may mail a check to:
